MIE Groups, the organizer of CTW’s trade fairs and conferences, today unveiled the details and features of the third edition of China Trade Week Morocco 2019. The three-day show will open from December 16 to 18, 2019 at the International Fair of Casablanca.

The second edition organized in 2018 had hosted more than a hundred exhibitors and more than 5,000 visitors, this year CTW promises to be bigger with more than 150 exhibitors and more than 7,500 trade visitors. CTW will host exhibitors representing sectors such as the tea industry, construction, agriculture, electricity, electronics, renewable energy, textiles and consumer goods. Pre-organized B2B meetings will increase the chances of meeting local buyers and sellers from different provinces of China.

David Wang, founder and managing director of MIE Groups, said: “This is a strong reflection on the growth of CTW salons here in Casablanca, strengthening the growing trade and friendship relations between Morocco and China, which dates back to 1958.”

CTW Morocco will also host the African Technology Show (AFTS). The AFTS conference will bring together speakers like 10,000 Coders, Corner Telegraph, IT News Africa, Blockshine, Quoscient, Altersis, where they will present the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on Morocco and Africa like robotics, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing and smart cities across the continent.

Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President Strategy and Partnerships, MIE Groups, commented: “With the African Tech Show (AFTS), we want to develop the CTW platform and launch new trade show formats across Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. “

The 3rd CTW Morocco is taking place as MIE Groups celebrates its 20th anniversary. Since the year 2000, MIE Groups has been able to apply and respect its principle of concentration in the Middle East and Africa markets.

Since then, MIE and its subsidiaries have helped more than 80,000 small and medium-sized businesses and large businesses grow their businesses. “MIE’s commitment to the Moroccan market is unshakable, which the group is proving not only with the 3rd edition of CTW Morocco, but also with our new offices this year in Casablanca,” said Zahoor Ahmed.

The new direct flights in mid-January 2020 between Casablanca and Beijing testify to the intensification of trade relations between China and Morocco. Also, Moroccan exports of minerals, poisons and fertilizers to China have increased year by year.

Zahoor Ahmed also briefed the media on upcoming MIE Groups trade shows in 2020: “As we continue the CTW series in Morocco next year, in addition to our existing markets, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa, we will add Rwanda, Tanzania, Algeria, Zimbabwe and Senegal. In Eurasia, we will set foot in Azerbaijan for the first time.”

New shows such as Africa Food Show in Kenya, Africa Build Show, Africa Property Exhibition and Africa Energy Show “Megawatt” will take place in Ghana.
