2020 Sichuan Agricultural Products Online Export Trade Fair hosted by Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, co-hosted by MIE Events DMCC which will be held from Nov. 2rd to 4th, 2020 and will take a good use of GTW digital platform to establish a direct link between Sichuan foreign trade companies and purchasers from Middle East and African countries which cater to both import & export needs.

More than 20 high quality enterprises from Sichuan, an important agricultural province in southwestern China, which will be a part of this unique online exhibition through the digital platform with more than 20 Middle East and African agricultural enterprises and institutions taking part and more than 20 high-quality suppliers, processor, manufacturers from Tea, Vegetables & Fruit, Agricultural Machinery & Veterinary Medicine sector realizing online accurate docking and accurate matching through internet cloud video conferencing technology.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on economies and societies. In an attempt to minimize the impact of the pandemic on the foreign trade enterprises and to provide solution for enterprises, when they are unable to take part in an on ground exhibition and merchants are facing hassles in communication, Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is offering this unique online platform wherein an exhibition on Agricultural products in Middle East and Africa will take place.

In 2019, Sichuan’s foreign trade reached the best level in history, reaching 676.59 billion yuan. The scale of imports and exports ranked 10th in China, with an increase of 13.8% over 2018. During the same period, the country's overall import and export growth rate was 3.4%. Among them, exports were 389.23 billion yuan, an increase of 16.8%, which was higher than the overall national export growth rate of 5% in the same period; imports were 287.36 billion yuan, an increase of 9.9%, which was higher than the national overall import growth rate of 1.6% in the same period. During these difficult times, we hope the event will bring a positive business relationship between within Middle East, Africa and Sichuan.
