In 2019, Sichuan’s foreign trade reached the best level in history, reaching 676.59 billion yuan. The scale of imports and exports ranked 10th in China, with an increase of 13.8% over 2018. During the same period, the country's overall import and export growth rate was 3.4%. Among them, exports were 389.23 billion yuan, an increase of 16.8%, which was higher than the overall national export growth rate of 5% in the same period; imports were 287.36 billion yuan, an increase of 9.9%, which was higher than the national overall import growth rate of 1.6% in the same period.
