Exhibition introduced

China's  "Belt and Road Initiative" is a comprehensive framework for organizing multinational economic development and trade which inspired the creation of China Trade Week (CTW). Under the background of "Belt and Road Initiative" ,MIE has already successfully held several high-quality Chinese goods exhibitions in the countries along the route. Established in 2013, China Trade Week had its first event in the United Arab Emirates which was warmly welcomed by the local business community. After a successful event in the UAE, it was followed by the first African event in Kenya which had an even bigger response.

In 2017, China Trade Week was launched in Ethiopia. During our first event, we just had 50 exhibitors who participated the event to get a taste of the market and to see what the local business community needs. As we had an amazing result last year, CTW just got bigger with over 100 exhibitors for its second and third consecutive year in Ethiopia. CTW series of events has always been successful with more than 5000 government institutions and enterprises participating the event. After it was encouraged by the African Union to expand its scope, CTW is now hosted in Ghana, Kenya, Iran, Morocco, South Africa, Ethiopia and the UAE, with the intention of adding more countries every year along  "Belt and Road Initiative" route.

With every government and industry support, the organisers of China Trade Week spares no effort to make sure that the best industries will be presented at the event. They spent weeks on the road, meeting companies from major provinces in China such as Jiangsu, Sichuan, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Beijing and Shanghai.

China Trade Week is one of the most professional event, it is as well the only comprehensive China-focused event in Ethiopia, he 4th China Trade Week will take place at the Millennium Hall on the 13rd -15th May 2019. Exhibitors from sectors including Construction Materials & Machinery, Lighting & Energy, Clothing & Textiles, Electrical Goods and Electronics, Automotive Parts & Accessories, Health & Beauty, Print, Packaging & Plastic, Baby & Infant Products and Food & Beverage. Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SME) can enjoy full support from China Chamber of Commerce concerning China Trade Week which means enterprises attending the event can apply for overseas exhibition subsidy from the government if they meet the requirements.
