International Security Journal (ISJ) is pleased to announce the formation of a strategic global media partnership with MIE Events, the organisers of Africa Technology Show (AFTS) and Africa Security Show (AFSS).

As part of the agreement, ISJ will publicise and promote both events to its international community of more than 80,000 security professionals.

Ian Stokes, Managing Director of International Security Journal (ISJ) commented: “Africa’s economic pulse continues to grow with telecommunications, banking, construction and retail flourishing. Over recent years, private investment inflows have surged considerably and the opportunity landscape for growth and development across the African security industry is immense.

“The need for improved process and best business practice within the African security sector has never been stronger, or more positive, and this is a perfect time to help improve and encourage the flow and exchange of peer to peer information, advice and guidance. This MoU will strengthen media and news exchange between the two parties. With this partnership we aspire to develop a dedicated digital platform for the African technology and security market.”

Africa is emerging as a real force in the commercial security market as more resources are being directed towards the protection of people and assets due to increased investment in infrastructure and the creation of data centres across the region by prominent IT companies.

Commenting on the strategic agreement, David Wang, Chairman and Founder, MIE Events, said: “We are extremely delighted to partner with International Security Journal. The MoU translates the desire of MIE Events to strengthen cooperation and partnership ties with key players in the global media sector. We are confident that the MoU will contribute to the empowerment and further development of the two parties.”

Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships, MIE Events, added: “MIE Events is really excited to be collaborating with International Security Journal (ISJ), a leading source of information for the global security market. Africa’s Tech hubs are booming and they play a pivotal role for business. With the launch of our premier shows Africa Technology Show (AFTS) and Africa Security Show (AFSS) we aim to explore the African tech hub ecosystem and ISJ is a perfect partner that can help support this vision.”
